Maha Alathba holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Qatar University (2011). She has been a member of the Photographic Society of America and Youth Hobbies Centre in Doha.
The photographs by Maha of the Souq and Museum of Islamic Art were taken on the handful of rainy days that Qatar experiences every year. Her pictures of Education City and the extraordinary neoclassicism of the Al Hazm Mall capture the shadows that are only fleetingly present in Qatar at sunrise and sunset.
